Ans:
1. Cell Membrane:
It is a thin, protective layer around a cell. It holds all parts of the call together
2. Nucleus:
It acts as the control centre of the cell. It contains all information of the cell in its Thread like structure called CHROMOSOMES
3. Cytoplasm:
It is a watery gel that fills the space between the cell membrane and the nucleus. All important functions of the cell are performed in the cytoplasm.
4. Mitochondria:
Mitochondria break down food to release energy and therefore they are called the powerhouse of cells.
5. Ribosomes:
There are very small organelles that are the factories of protein
Q.2. Difference between an Animal and Plant Cell.
Ans:
Plant Cell
1. Cell Wall
It is present in the membrane outside the cell of a plant cell. It is made up of cellulose.
2. Chloroplast:
It is a special organelle for photosynthesis. It is found in the green parts of the plant.
3. Vacuole:
It stores different substances like water and salt. A plant cell has a large central vacuole. It increases when a plant grows.
Animal Cell
1. Cell Wall
Animal cells have no cell wall.
2. Chloroplast:
It is not present in animal cells.
3. Vacuole:
Animal cells have small vacuoles dispersed in the cytoplasm.
