Award-Winning Three Speeches on Allama Iqbal (9 November | Iqbal Day Speech for Students)

Speech No. 1 (short upto 2 minutes)

Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear fellows,
Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Today, we are gathered to celebrate the birthday of a great thinker, poet, and the dreamer of Pakistan — Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal. Every year, on 9th November, we pay tribute to the man whose thoughts awakened a sleeping nation.

Allama Iqbal was not just a poet; he was the spiritual father of Pakistan. Through his poetry, he gave us courage, self-respect, and the message of unity and faith. His famous words —

teach us to believe in ourselves and to shape our destiny through hard work and faith.

Iqbal dreamed of a land where Muslims could live freely, follow their religion, and build a society based on justice and equality. That dream later became the foundation of Pakistan. His poetry still echoes in our hearts, reminding us of our identity and purpose.

Dear fellows,
Iqbal wanted the youth, to rise, to think, and to act. He believed that the youth are the real strength of a nation. In his poem, he called us “Shaheen” — the eagle that flies high, never afraid of challenges. He wanted us to aim high, think big, and serve our country with passion and honesty.

Today, as we celebrate Iqbal Day, let us promise to follow his message — to be educated, brave, and united. Let us turn his dream into reality by making Pakistan strong and prosperous.

In the words of Iqbal:

So, my dear friends, let’s not stop dreaming, let’s not stop striving — because that’s what Iqbal taught us!

Thank you! Pakistan Zindabad!

Speech No. 2 (short upto 5 minutes)

Respected Principal, honourable teachers, and my dear fellows,
Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Today, we have gathered here to celebrate the birthday of one of the greatest poets, philosophers, and visionaries in the history of the Muslim world — Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal. Born on 9th November 1877 in Sialkot, Iqbal was not just a poet of words, but a poet of action, wisdom, and awakening.

Allama Iqbal’s poetry was not meant to please the ears; it was meant to stir the hearts. His words gave courage to a nation that had forgotten its strength. At a time when Muslims of the subcontinent had lost hope, Iqbal’s verses reminded them of their glorious past and the power of their faith.

These immortal lines remind us that true success comes from self-respect, hard work, and belief in Allah.

Dear audience,
Iqbal was not just a dreamer — he was a guide who showed the path to freedom. He envisioned a separate homeland for Muslims where they could live according to their faith, with dignity and justice. His dream inspired Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and together their vision led to the creation of Pakistan in 1947.

But my dear friends, Iqbal’s message did not end with the creation of Pakistan. His poetry still calls upon the youth — to rise and shine. He believed that the youth are the builders of the nation. He called us the Shaheens (eagles) of Iqbal — bold, fearless, and free.

He said:

Iqbal wanted us to fly high, to aim beyond the limits, and to believe that nothing is impossible when faith, courage, and hard work join together.

Respected teachers and dear friends,
Iqbal taught us that education is not just about books — it is about character, vision, and purpose. He warned against slavery of the mind and encouraged Muslims to stand on their own feet. His message was clear:
Be confident, be faithful, and never lose hope in Allah.

Today, as we celebrate Iqbal Day, let us not just remember him in words but follow his teachings in our actions. Let us become the kind of youth Iqbal dreamed of — honest, brave, educated, and full of love for our country.

If we, the youth of Pakistan, hold on to Iqbal’s message, no power in the world can stop our nation from reaching the heights of success and glory.

So, let us promise today to keep Iqbal’s dream alive —
To love our country, to serve humanity, and to make Pakistan a symbol of peace, progress, and pride.

In Iqbal’s own words:

My dear fellows, the journey has not ended — it has just begun.
Let us rise, let us dream, and let us act — for this is what Iqbal taught us!

Thank you. Pakistan Zindabad!

Speech No. 3 ((English and Urdu mix))

Respected Principal, honourable teachers, and my dear fellows,
Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Today, we are gathered here to celebrate the birthday of a great thinker, philosopher, and the dreamer of Pakistan — Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal.

Allama Iqbal was not just a poet — he was the Poet of the East, the spiritual father of Pakistan, and a man whose words changed the destiny of a nation.

These golden words tell us that we should make ourselves so strong, so confident, and so faithful that even destiny asks our permission before deciding our future.

Dear audience,
When Muslims of the subcontinent had lost hope, Allama Iqbal awakened them through his poetry. He reminded them of their glorious past and gave them a new dream — a separate homeland where they could live freely and follow Islam.

Iqbal believed in the power of youth.

My dear fellows,
If we truly want to pay tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal, we must not only praise his poetry but also follow his message in our lives.
He taught us the power of faith, the importance of self-respect, and the need for action and hard work.
Iqbal wanted us to believe in ourselves, to rise above fear, and to serve our nation with sincerity.

We have to continue the journey that Iqbal began — to build Pakistan as he dreamed: strong, peaceful, and full of knowledge and faith.

So, my dear friends,
Let’s promise today that we will live by Iqbal’s message.
We will be brave like his Shaheen, wise like his thinker, and faithful like his believer.

May Allah help us fulfill Iqbal’s dream.
Pakistan Zindabad!
