The Bear and the Two Friends

    Once two friends set out on a journey in the jungle. During the journey, they promised to help each other. While passing through the jungle, they saw a black bear running towards them. One of the friends climbed up the tree. The other friend could not do so. He lay down on the ground and held his breath. The bear came up to him and smelt him. Thinking him dead, the bear went away. The other friend on the tree came down and said, “What did the bear whisper in your ear?” The friend replied, “He advised me not to trust selfish friends.

Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.
