GLOBAL WARMING AND CAUSES

The increase in the average temperature of the earth is called global warming. The global temperature has increased by 1 °C in the last 100 years.

Causes of global warming:

A major contributor to global warming is Human population growth. Due to the increase in human population, the utilization of natural resources and the waste generated from the use of these resources has increased massively. Excessive use of fossil fuels and deforestation are leading causes of global warming. The burning of fossil fuels such as coal, gas, and oil is adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a leading greenhouse gas as it traps heat radiation.
