Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Today the topic of my speech is Iqbal Day.

Dear Fellows!

Allama Iqbal was born on 9th November, 1877 in Sialkot. Iqbal is considered one of the greatest Poets and philosophers of the modern era, and his literary work is still taught in many universities worldwide.

Allama Iqbal is one who envisioned the idea of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent. As a result, we have this country called "Pakistan." Allama Iqbal was highly educated and his poetry was not ordinary but had a vision that drew an entire community towards making themselves a nation. His poetry and Philosophy are what led the Muslims of the sub-continent to a point where they recognized themselves and their strength as a nation.

Worthily Audience!

Iqbal Day is celebrated every year on the 9th of November in order to pay homage to our national poet and Philosopher. On that day a large number of cultural, literary, and educational organizations conducted Programs in order to remember him and his work. In last, I would like to end my speech with a poetry of Iqbal.

منزل سے آگے بڑھ کر منزل تلاش کر

مل جائے تجھ کو دریا تو سمندر تلاش کر
