Q.1. Look at the pictures and develop a story with a title and moral.


Title: The Dove and The Ant


Once, a dove and an ant were friends. One day the ant was drinking water from a river. Suddenly its foot slipped and it fell into the water. It was almost drowning when the dove saw it. The dove plucked a leaf from a tree and dropped it near the ant. The ant climbed on it and her life was saved.

After a few days, a hunter came there. He took aim at the dove. The ant saw all this. It ran to the hunter and bit the hunter's foot. The hunter missed the aim due to pain. The dove flew away.



Moral of the story: 

1. A friend in need is a friend indeed 

2. Do good have good

The Bear and the Two Friends

    Once two friends went on a journey together. They promised to help each other in danger. They passed through a jungle. Suddenly they saw a bear coming towards them. One of them ran and climbed up a tree. He did not care for his friend. The other friend lay down and held his breath. The bear came sniffed at him and went away thinking him to be dead.

    When the bear had gone away the friend came down and asked "What was the bear saying in your ear". The other friend replied. "the bear told me not to trust the selfish friend.

Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.

My Favourite Fable 

 A Hare and a Tortoise


Once there lived a hare and a tortoise in a forest. The hare was very proud of his speed. He used to make fun of the tortoise for being too slow. One day, the tortoise challenged the hare to a race. The hare accepted the challenge. The race started. The hare ran very fast. The tortoise was left much behind. The hare got tired and stopped to have some rest under a tree. He fell asleep. The tortoise passed him and reached the winning post. The hare woke up and ran as fast as he could. He saw that the tortoise was already there at the winning post. The tortoise had won the race.

Moral of the story: Slow and steady wins a race.

A Lion and a Mouse

Once, a lion was sleeping in a forest. Suddenly, a mouse came and climbed on its body. The lion got disturbed and woke up from his sleep.

The lion became so angry that he caught the mouse to kill it. The mouse begged for mercy. The lion took pity on him and let him go.

After some days, the lion was caught in a trap. He tried hard to get out of it but failed. The mouse heard the lion's roar and came there. He started cutting the net with his teeth. The lion was free and thanked the mouse.

Moral: Forgiveness has its own reward.
