Climate Change and Pakistan

Climate change is a major threat to Pakistan, even though the country contributes very little to global pollution. The effects are already being felt across the nation. One of the most visible impacts is the change in weather patterns. We are now experiencing more extreme heatwaves, which are dangerous for people's health and harm agriculture.

Another serious effect is the melting of glaciers in the north. This, combined with heavier monsoon rains, leads to devastating floods. We have seen terrible floods that destroy villages, ruin crops, and displace millions of people. This causes a lot of hardship and loss for families.

Furthermore, changes in temperature and rainfall are creating water shortages. This affects farmers the most, as they struggle to grow food, which can lead to rising prices and hunger. Coastal areas in the south are also at risk from rising sea levels.

In short, climate change is making life harder in Pakistan through extreme weather, water scarcity, and environmental damage. It is crucial for the government and communities to work together on solutions like better water management and disaster preparedness to protect the country's future.
