Pakistan showed significant progress in the field of industry one of the important indicators of the progress of the country is industrial development.
At the time of independence, Pakistan had only 34 industries out of a total of 921 industrial units. Which was around 4% of the total industrial units of the sub-continent.
Pakistan has been progressing in the field. Now Pakistan is the third largest exporter of cotton textiles in the world.
The sugar industry developed greatly during the last few decades. At the time of independence there were only two sugar mills now there are more than 100 sugar mills.
In Sports Pakistan exports more than 70% of the total world demand for hand-stitched fabrics.
Similarly, the telecom industry has developed in recent years with the speed of Mobile phones and internet facilities reaching every corner of the country.
Pakistan has made landmark developments in the field of defense production.
