3. Sadia bought a plot for Rs. 659 814 and another plot for Rs. 799 999. Find the total amount she paid for both plots.

Thus the total amount that Sadia paid for both plots is Rs. 1 459 813

4. Amaan has an annual income of Rs. 456 750. He spends Rs. 125 295 on the construction of a Masjid. How much money does he have left?       


Solution: 






Thus the money left with Amman is Rs. 331 455

5. Town A has a population of 459 814 and town B has a population of 325 919 
a) What is the total population of the two towns?
b) Which town has more population and how much? 



Solution:

Thus the total population of both towns is  785 733



b) 

As 459 814 > 325 919. It shows that Town A has more Population than Town B. 

To find how much more population Town A has than town B. We will take the difference between both populations. 




Town A has 133 895 more population than town B.

6. The annual yield of a mango field in one year is 656 565 kilograms. In the second year, the yield decreased by 100 984 kilograms. How many mangoes were produced in the second year?


Solution: 




Thus the mango produced in the second year is 555 581 kg

7. The government built 386 655 houses for the homeless in one year. In the second year, 24 521 fewer houses were built than the previous year. How many houses did the government build in both years?    


Solution: 


By subtracting the fewer houses in the second year from the first year we will get the houses made in the second year. Hence




Thus the houses built by the government in the second year is 362 134

Now to find the total number of houses built by the government in both years are




Thus the total number of houses built by the government in both years is 748 789

8. Fatima has Rs. 954 888 in her bank account. She withdraws Rs.135 600 from the bank to buy a laptop. How much money will be left with her?


Solution: 



Thus the money will be left with Fatima is Rs. 819 288

9. A factory owner gave Rs. 448 870 as a reward to his employees in the first year. In the second year, 437 995 rupees were given as a reward. 

a) What is the total amount given in both years?
b) How much less amount was given in the second year? 


Solution: 

a) What is the total amount given in both years?





Thus the total amount given in both years is Rs. 886 865


b) How much less amount was given in the second year? 




Thus the reward in the second year was Rs. 10 875 less than the previous year.

10. Samantha's father donates Rs. 600 000 to two welfare organizations. If he pays Rs. 385 990 to one welfare organization, how much does he pay to the other?


Solution: 




Samantha's father donates Rs. 314 010 to the other organization.
