1st May
The Labour Day

Honourable Principal, Worthily guests, Respected teachers and my dear fellows Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Today I am very happy that we all are here to celebrate Labour day. I am going to present a short speech on Labour Day

Dear fellows!

Labour day which is celebrated on 1st May every year is also known as May Day or International Worker's Day. This day is dedicated to the workers. It originated from the United States labour union movement in the 19th Century particularly the eight-hour day movement which advocated eight hours of work per day.

Worthily guests!

This day is celebrated worldwide to pay tribute to the contributions of workers and their social and economic achievements. International Labour Day is praised as a National Holiday in roughly 80 nations. It is a perfect world that comprises yearly and national affirmation towards the labourer's dedication and commitments who guarantee the thriving, quality and prosperity of the nation.

Dear All

To sum it up Labour Day is celebrated all around the world to recognize the effort of millions of labourers and helpers. It is a day for them to feel respected for the work they do. So I think we should appreciate and encourage their hard work

Thank you.
